Gates housing for DSMC2 and DSMC3 camera systems

Our Gates housing started life as a dedicated housing for DSMC2 camera bodies but can now take the smaller DSMC3 camera systems with either DSLR or cinema lenses supported up front.

As it’s a much larger housing than needed this offers greater stability in the water when shooting and also allows double V lock batteries to run the camera giving 5 hours of available burn time. Our housing ships with the new Small HD 503 monitor kit which itself offers 4 hours of operation time, and for studio work we have TV logic monitor options that are powered from the camera batteries or from the surface.

The Gates housing can be configured with the smaller diameter extension rings for operator controlled focus / iris / zoom or the larger diameter extension rings for use with lens control systems such as Preston or ARRI

For studio work we recommend a technician comes with the equipment to build and support the production and for open water work we recommend you spend some time in our workshop going through the preparation and operation if you haven’t used a Gates housing before
