Underwater camera housings for DSLR cameras

DSLR cameras have become increasingly popular with productions looking for a quick and easy option to get high quality 2k-6k underwater images without having to rely on one of our specialist underwater operators or technicians to be involved on set.
We would recommend that you hire the camera and lens from us along with the housing which will save you a lot of prep time on location. When we supply the camera and lens is comes pre-installed into the housing with all the manual lens gears fitted making it easier for you to get operational when you receive the equipment.
Please note that the housings are primarily designed to work with the native camera manufacturers lenses but with time and additional cost we can accommodate other lenses such as manual iris and focus PL glass. Please be aware that this is not a straightforward ‘off the shelf’ supply so do contact us well in advance if this is an option you wish to explore.
If you plan to send an image to the surface from the camera via our 30m long waterproofed HDSDI cables then you will need to hire in one of our looped through HDMI to HDSDI surface monitors that sit on top of the camera housing. Please also note that it’s impossible to fit a manual follow focus gear in the DSLR housing as there isn’t enough room for this, if you need surface focus control then please look at our cinema camera housings which have this facility
